The Thing is, I think I can show you through the medium of a Pointless exercise.

I’m going to shamble this tomorrow as the first lecture on ‘Room x37 – Spotting Syncs’ at the LoL. These take time. I’ll try to keep it simple. I suggest we make your homework fun, so I suggest a game… Texas Hold ‘Em.

Card I: watch this with my husband. He is The Tardis and I am The Doctor. But I’m not always The Doctor; with sum I am The Tardis. Or River. Or Clara Or A N otherDeepends 😉

Card 2: We compete against each other, St Eve and I, but we also compete against the contestants on the show. We are one team, it’s a game we like to play. Like me and Loopy Louis. He gave me this video to show after we made his den for the evening (photos attached)

Card 3. In my shamble, I will include our answers. These will be honest and truthful. I donut L13 about this because I donut cheat. You see, I’m better than Captain Kirk 😉

Card 4: Another video from Louis. He loves bringing me things we can LoL about together. I’m the Girl with the Mousy ‘air… u gno Roob or Boor… I’ve seen iT 10 times or more

River Card: “Argentina! Woo Hoo! Pointless answer!” *buffs nails*

So homework people. Chop! chop! I’m going to watch the last three episodes of Doctor Who with my husband, now. I’m afraid I am going to have to take a lead role in the search for 137.

On the other hand, I can’t tell you wat to do. Do what you like. Butt I love you all ❤

Rubedo

Okay, we didn’t get to watch Doctor Who that night. We watched some ‘Married with Children’ instead… Sew then *puffs out cheeks* correspondence to catch up on, screen shots to, well… grab

Room x37 – Spotting Syncs 101: A Pointless Exercise

Apols! Not the promised music post. Cometers sorted that for me days ago… Go hear.

This Xmas, MRS REGN is knot prepared to wait until the 25th to speak to a nation. Sew… I promised a lecture for 6 blokes last night in an emale. I suppose I should try and make this sciencey so this is the abstract of sum thing or another…

Oh, before I start, a shout out to a lovely lady called Ruth Brown who helped me out last week. She was wearing purple and looked like a more intelligent version of me *sigh of relief*

Clicky is under strict instructions for this post: to assist me professionally with images, no back slang and no hiding links behind fings *text links only, please.*. Any digressions taken in this post will be Roobeedoo2’s. That’s me btw. Just one of my handles. To wyn this game you have to turn names if you want to see 137… or is it 237? Wheel shell see 😉

This is a screen grab of the homework I set 6 pals of mine. Click will embiggen.

*Apols! Clicky insert pix of emale when all’s agreed*

* Efficient… Impressed look*

Whilst, you’re watching that I’ll go pay some attention to my Thoughtful Man. CYL

*******

Okay… whilst the others are watching. A tail from today with some pix of Thoughtful Man’s shopping. He’s my Tardis – He fetches and carries. I’m his

He’s gets up early. Always. So, he was long gone by the time I rose. He came back ‘appy ‘cos he’d got the last (and hardest to get) prezzies for da KIDZ! His Christmas won’t be ruined *Yay* And he’d bean to see Cash & Dash. I immediately started to unpack…

Nisa shop

Really, nobody has any idea how much fuel is required to resolve a brain tickler like the puzzle of 137. Coffee with milk, two sugars, mostly. And… okay, we get Coked up, too. And Thoughtful Man and I smoke. Menthol filters; it’s medicinal. I roll them. The Black Sambuca is for a shot or two, with Red Bull chaser, to keep us warm chested and away from ire each night of the Festivities.

Wat is everyone’s problem with wat we consume? It’s Physics!

Local Shop Talk

He also purchased two presents for me. I can’t wait. I opened them immediately.

I’m over the Moon. Loopy broke my Kindle at school. When I think about all the fucking heavy books, I had to carry up and down the Alwyn Towerblock. Mind you, I enjoyed it – kept me fit. And I needed something to help me shamble the episode of ‘Pointless’. How was I going to do this? I know, I’ll talk to myself…

*******

Zo. Did you follow Clicky and watch the Program? I gno this is a mixed ability class, but… are you sure you saw wear my little Dolphin helper went?

Wright then *looks at invisible watch* Oh bugger is that the hour? I need to go and spend some time with my family.  My breakdown of the Program to reveal 137 will have to wait until tomorrow, then. Ooo… Bonus! I’ll include the end of the episode of I watched of ‘Pointless’ today. Plus a transcript of my wittering’s of this my first ‘Pointless Exercise’ to go with the pix. *That should be fun… knot* 😉

KGfwUh16

*Now look here, Clicky. Are you fucking about behind my back? I won’t have it, u gno…*

The two of the 9, mentioned above, I’ve actually axed if they want to participate in this experiment. That way, as a woman, I can be one of 3. And so can they. Witch nails (above) from won. Sum Song (below) from da udder.

Shamble on People, I’m off for a goodnight cuddle… Have a Song…

Talking to The Doctor: Shiny Dishes

Dr Mike Barrett in ‘Casualty’?

‘After playing several minor roles in other Hollywood films such as White Hunter Black Heart (1990) and Alien 3 (1992), Mantle was cast as consultant Dr Mike Barrett in the BBC television hospital drama series Casualty. He became one of its most popular characters, renowned for his convincing and authoritative portrayal and “dishy doc” persona.’

Dishy & Shiny

Reading down the wiki entry, Shiny, I realise that I’ve seen him in the flesh, too, though not to talk to. It was before he became Casualty’s Dishy Doc. It was at the theatre…

‘In 1991-2 he played Dave in Sandi Toksvig’s “The Pocket Dream” at the Nottingham Playhouse and Albery Theatre in London.’

I don’t really remember the play itself that much but I do remember it being a bitterly cold night. It was late starting because of a blackout, and fingers, toes and tip of nose were starting to go numb whilst waiting to be let inside.

You can see the programme, here, next to ‘Misery’

I worked with a giant called ‘Pip‘ 😉

Pip was very interesting character and lovely friend from my days at the JLP. Her next door neighbour was an actual movie stunt woman. It was through Pip that I briefly met Sean Bean

Just to say “Hello” when we went to collect Pip and her husband from some awards night for Stunt People in a London hotel (we offered to put them up for the night – whilst they were still partying, we went to see the late night showing of ‘Dracula’ at Leicester Square). It was that Pip actually tried to suck his face off 😉

Roob what do you think the spoon represents?

Poons, Shiny. That’s where Thoughtful Man took me to dinner, on my birthday (the first we shared together), before taking me to see ‘Buddy‘ – see above image for the programme.

*FLASH FORWARD*

Tonight I watched a saved episode of ‘Pointless’ whilst ironing the boys’ school uniform for their last morning of school tomorrow, before the Christmas break…

I think I’ll spend some time on ‘The Shining Forward/\Backwards‘ and maybe properly describe what 137 is. I’ve seen it; I know I’ve put it down somewhere 😉

But don*t cha know, I’ll be gal-i-venting across the Read, Bloo and Y’Ello Universes. You knever know I might even have time to do the washing up…

It’s goo goo g’joob that I’ll always be your ‘Impossible Girl’. Defo 😉

Hear, have a Song from the LoL

*This is a Roob-x clue for u

Flash Forward is a clue 2 or1 to go infront of x37
Humanity blacked out for exactly 137 seconds or 2 mins 17 secs. 217 is the room number in Stephen King’s The Shining. In Stanley Kubrick’s version it was 237.

The MEROVEE Experiment

Yesterday at The Lab, Korben Dallas mentioned a problem with posting on MEROVEE

The Lab Korben Dallas has a posting problem at Merovee

*Clicky did you hide the link to my response behind the image? Ah, yes, I see you did. Well, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink… or click for that matter …/titters 😉 *

So, problems with ‘in moderation’ comments disappearing from my screen. But who would believe me? I know, I thought, I could do an experiment and try to show what I’m seeing.

Now this is a Library not a Lab. Could be dangerous, but fortunately I carry my own PPE

I posted a reply to an overnight comment to me from DDNA on ‘Believe In Love’

Five links were used (including one image and one Song). Normally this would be published straightaway but it went into ‘moderation’. As you can see, Frank’s reply to DDNA’s comment is directly above and Viktor’s is directly below.

I carried on doing other stuff and decided to go back later…

CLICKY: For a closer look ;)

GONE!

Not only that but a further comment to Frank went into ‘moderation’

*Clicky, can I just say you’re being very good today restraining yourself for this experiment? Don’t answer, just keep it up 😀 *

I went back to look again and this comment, too, had disappeared…

CLICKY: Faithfully...

GONE!

So Korben Dallas, as you can see, it’s very possible that this is what could have happened to your comment on MEROVEE. No doubt they’ve slipped into ‘spam’. I’ll email Frank and we’ll find out 😉

Funk to Fun Key

Mum died at the start of September. I have some of her ashes. The rest we went to scatter today… around a tree that looked a bit like a squirrel

Foamy the Squirrel Tree b

Early this week, my friend Cynarea StMary posted about her recent birthday celebrations on UBU. She included 5 randomly selected songs from her personal playlist. I don’t have one of those; I have a Thoughtful Man who has an extensive music collection though, generally, I don’t to hear more than an intro, or start of a chorus, because he’s likes to skip to the next. He was the same with the TV remote control when we used to watch telly 😉

Today, on the way to Squirrel Tree, he played 5 songs all the way through from a mix-CD he’d made to listen to at work. So, these are the songs randomly selected by Thoughtful Man, and that we listened to right through to the last note.

I got told off for asking if this was ‘Kylie’. I don’t know – Stock Aitken and Waterman’s all songs sound the same to me…

“Who’s this then?” he asked, selecting the next song. Apparently ‘Busted’ is an incorrect answer…

“I went through a country phase” was offered like an excuse with the next song…

“Clever woman, Kim Wilde, writing a song with ‘America’ in it. Yanks love that” was the insight offered with the next song. I just sang along…

Some pix from our time with The Squirrel Tree, then…

Ring of Ash

JES and US

Watching Horse

The 5th song, then, played as we left through the main gate…

Actually, there was a complete 6th song listened to. But that just followed on from the last and wasn’t randomly selected at all 😉
