Missive From ‘Merica: The Devotion Notion

On Tuesday evening, Dear Reader, Cade Fon Apollyon and I remote viewed Martin Scorsese’s insanely brilliant movie, The King of Comedy, together…

Bernhard Black KOC

*Itsa black comedy, Clicky… /lights up… About a group of crazy fuckers…

*Oh, they were completely full of it…*

*No, Clicky! …/coughs out smoke…*

devotion (n.)

c. 1200, devocioun, “profound religious emotion, awe, reverence,” from Old French devocion “devotion, piety” and directly from Latin devotionem (nominative devotio), noun of action from past-participle stem of devovere “dedicate by a vow, sacrifice oneself, promise solemnly,” from de “down, away” (see de-) + vovere “to vow” (see vow (n.)). From late 14c. as “an act of religious worship, a religious exercise” (now usually devotions).

In ancient Latin, “act of consecrating by a vow,” also “loyalty, fealty, allegiance;” in Church Latin, “devotion to God, piety.” The application to secular situations came to English via Italian and French; sense of “act of setting apart or consecrating” is from c. 1500.

*Gawd, I hope the little mite is thinking, ‘Mum, you’re a cunt’…*

*Itsan ever-present fear, Clicky… /nods head gravely…*

… And I was thinking about writing a post about it, Dear Reader, but fortunately for all of us, Cade has come to the rescue with a new missive. Have fun…

… But don’t go crazy. Enjoy! 😀

^Two Door Cinema Club – Bad Decisions (Devo Remix)^

You found something. Obviously something that someone threw away, but for some reason, you found it. Was prolly an old and busted piece of garbage to whomever tossed it, but it’s brand-spanking new to you. Your eyes sparkle with hope: this new something contains a deep well of possibilities. You weren’t even looking for it, yet there it was.

What a joy, eh?

Yeah, you’re baffled as to why someone wouldn’t want this, but that kinda makes things all the more sweet. You see something in this castaway that someone else could not see. Maybe I can make you feel comfortable in your own skin. Accept you as you are. Maybe not.

/shrug
^Alberto Bof – Rachmaninov: Vespers Bogoroditse Devo (All-Night Vigil) – Alberto Bof Remix^

Speaking of skin, your lower legs feel like you are wearing socks. Only problem is, you aren’t wearing socks, you never wear high socks, and you haven’t worn socks of any kind in ages. You also have these weird feelings in your back. One second, things feel normal, the next second, your back feels like...it feels? Like, when things were normal you felt nothing, and then all of a sudden you could feel your back even tho there’s no stimulus. You aren’t wearing a shirt, no one is touching you, it’s not windy, yet you can feel the entirety of your back.

Sometimes too, it almost feels like everything underneath your skin is, erm, sliding around. Maybe even feels like there’s another you squirming around inside of and just under…you. Something strange going on there for sure. One minute your feet and toes are there, the next minute, gone. I can only wonder what is going on in there.

^BATTLE OF THE TAPES: SCOTCH, SHIPPING, AND DUCT VS [PSORIASIS, PICKING, PEELING]^

We aren’t our outsides, are we? Outsides, insides, all-the-way-though-sides…we have a lot of sides. What I kinda have wondered for a while is how some of our bodies handle the wet/dry/wet/dry cycles on the outside. We’re wet on the inside, but for the most part dry on the outside.

So what happens when we shower and take baths and stuff. Nevermind all the products we use in the name of hygiene, we seem to be obsessed with picking, pulling, prodding, poking, polishing, buffing, squishing, scrubbing, sanitizing, hydrating and rubbing the living shit out of our outer shells. And often. Products, products, products and more products coming out of our fucking ears, and still it’s not enough.

Time to call on the professionals
^MASSIVE DEAD WART REMOVAL (this kid’s a stud) | Dr. Paul^

Going without might be something to try. Fast for a bit. Let your body try and find itself for a bit. It’s a scary thought, I know. Been there, done that. And it’s tough to do considering the society we live in. Lotta social pressures on you to look nice and smell terrific, and you gotta do this 24/7. But a “repair” in one area has to have a knock-on effect, yeah? Your formerly scabby looking knees’ skin looks sweet now, but whatever mighta been behind it looking like that in the first place is maybe still there. Not to mention that your new knees are going to have to integrate and all the surrounding stuff is going to have to adapt to these changes. Just thinking aloud a bit as to why things appear, you have them removed, and they return.

Q: After some change, what’s the one thing that remains?

A: You

Not suggesting that change isn’t possible, But changes based on changes? Like, there was a change, you didn’t like the change, so you had the change changed?

Seems...a bit loopy
^DJ Jazzy Jeff, Peter Piper Routine^

There are all kinds of roadmaps for informing us as to what our present form(s) can and cannot endure.

EX 01: Your best friend gets attacked and eaten by a Leopard. It may become clear that a Leopard attack cannot be endured.

EX 02: You get caught out in the rain, and you do not melt or suffer any other ill effects. It may become clear that being rained on can be endured.

EX 03: Your new best friend gets attacked by an alligator and their arm is ripped off, but they survive the attack. It may become clear that some alligator attacks can be endured.

EX: 04: You go to McDonald’s, eat two Big Macs in a single sitting, and don’t immediately die of a heart-attack. It may become clear that “fast food” can be endured.

EX 05: Your new best friend commits suicide six months after the alligator attack because he lost his job, no one else would hire him, his girlfriend dumped him, and all women look at him like a freak now that he only had one arm. It may become clear that some alligator attacks can only be endured for so long.

EX 06: You line the backyard of your home with Oleander bushes. Your family dog, intrigued by these new plants, eats parts of some of them and dies, all because you were unaware that Oleander is toxic. You may decide that some landscaping flora can be endured, and some landscaping flora cannot be endured.

EX 07: Your new new best friend is studying to be a pyrotechnician, decides to mix some flash powder on a cold and dry January day, and blows himself into chunks. You may decide that mixing certain pyrotechnic compositions in low-humidity environments is unlikely to be endurable.

EX 08: You’re depressed at losing three friends and your dog, depressed that you had to rip up all those Oleander bushes, decide to drown your sorrows in a bottle of Jack Daniel’s Old No.7 Tennessee Whiskey, take a sip, and wince in repulsion. You may decide that some things can be endured without the assistance of that nasty shit.

Yep, all kinds of stuff out there which act as indicators as to what your form maybe can and cannot endure. Lucky for you, that road is paved with the blood of others. Are you giving them their due by paying attention? More than that, are you paying attention to the correct things? More than more than that/those, are you looking at the correct and incorrect things in the correct ways? Abjective? Objective? Subjective? All of those?

What a mess
^Whip It Devo (Philip Steir Remix)^

Kinda at odds with a lot of things. Not trying a something because someone else failed.

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.

Quitters never win, winners never quit.

Get (insert need/want here) or die trying.

Do or die.

Never give up, never surrender.

It’s like a throbbing clusterfuck of a cliche clash. Weird when cliches are at odds. Maybe one of the tricks is to live long enough to see where certain cliches are and are not applicable. Survival is the goal of life, yeah? And yes, I’m thinking about the lockdown plus all the shenanigans that went on prior to, during, and now after.

Divisions

Exposing them. Yeah, the hidden ones. The ones that are rumored to be there, but supposedly no one has actually seen them. There’s no “real” proof they exist. But now that the divisions are exposed, they’re likely to multiply. Dividing…divisions…to multiply…divisions.

Sounds conspiratorial
^Flip It! – Multiplying Fractions Jingle (Devo Remix)^

Not being a joke. Of all the items on my list of “things not to be”, “a joke” is not on there. That’s me and my own list tho’.

Digress

The guy is pretty good, the music ain’t so hot, so overall the whole thing is kinda mediocre. Still, the “I ain’t no joke” at the end was a shade strange. Flexing I guess. I told you I could do it, I did it, and now I’m telling you that you got told.

^Devo – Crypt YouTube Cypher Vol. 3 Remix^

Was digging for Devo remixes because Devo keep appearing on my radar for some reason, and now I’m stumbling across some weird shit.

^DEVO – “Who Run It” Remix^

So far all these dudes appear to be fairly good at rapping/rhyming, but the music kinda sucks. Really, completely and totally sucks. Makes me wonder about the nature of flow within Hip Hop. How music and lyrics mesh outside of a beat or tempo. Rhyming isn’t easy, rapping isn’t easy, so once you get that down, you pretty much just need a beat to layer your vocals on. If your lyrics are scary fronting kinds of shiz, you’re gonna want something scary and/or dramatic for the music. Prolly why this next one seems to rip John Carpenter’s Halloween Theme. Which is extra weird because the picture is of someone wearing a Jason Voorhees hockey mask from Friday The 13th series.

Skin is stretchy. Skin is elastic. Skin is kinda rigid. It’s flexy, but also has a kind of non-Newtonian fluid thing going on sometimes.

Q: Is it possible for skin to be stretched to maximum by migration of the connective tissues?

A: ??¿??

Maybe your skin feels tight because it is tight, but not because of the reason(s) you think it may be. Chaffing, seasonal changes, etc.. Just wondering what happens when the tension is such that the servo reaches the stop, and I’m thinking of this within the context of light/dark/red patches which may appear on the skin from time to time. Some of those things appear, and they never seem to go away.

On a completely unrelated note, there’s only one comment on the video below, but it’s a damn interesting one.

Again, pretty fucking good on the rhymes, and this one is prolly the best yet as far as the creative elements of the background. Not the ambient effects or even the music so much as a weird resonance in the song as an awareness for need of creative elements during the song itself. This becomes really apparent during the outtro.

^Devo Bux – (prod by bloc remix)^

We’ve arrived at a rather depressing video involving some kind of breakup which has 185 views, 0 likes, 1 dislike…

prolly from the ex

…0 comments, was published on December 20th of 2016, the video ID is YWhFIISK1zI, and the channel where the video is posted has 49 subscribers.

December 20, eh? My oldest was born on that date, and me and whatshername got married on December 19.

three years prior to his birth

Me and her are divorced, and I’m currently on the lookout for a ex. Is there a connection here? Are there any connections here? The tune is about breakup and there appears to be children involved.

Another one to fall into the “not bad at all” category, save for the fact that the music is awful. The tempo is good, the beat is good, the idea of some light traditional instruments in a song with fat percussion is cool, but it doesn’t come together real well in this instance. Tried to look up the original One Direction tune History and give it a listen, but I got yet another of those stupid-assed “Sorry, there was an error licensing this video” errors.

Digress

In the end, I guess this one is akin to one of those Disclaimer Of Liability ads you see in the personal section of the classified ads.

-\- MOVIE REVIEW TIME -/-

The movie: Poltergeist – 1982 – Directed by Tobe Hooper (of Texas Chainsaw Massacre fame)

The review: Close Encounters with ghosts instead of aliens.

The extended review: I would imagine this was little more than a vehicle for domesticating and commercializing ideas in order to realize ET: The Extra-Terrestrial and sell it to a skeptical public. Close Encounters Of The Third Kind was pretty damn scary, and it still holds a bit of that scary edge for me personally. But this? There’s no wonder at all. No story. No reason. Just some lame looming idea of a family sharing space with corpses who are pissed that their headstones got swiped. The house getting invaded by fleas or roaches woulda been more scary.

Poltergeist seems to take the scariest bits from Amityville Horror, knock the rough bits off, surround them with shiny stuff, fill the direct participants with apathy disguised as ignorance and wonder, then sequence the events into some meaningless chronology onscreen. Every scene is going to contain something “spooky”, but the participants seem completely detached, and it makes me detach. If they don’t care, why the hell should I the viewer care? Like they’re caught out in the rain and wondering why they are getting wet. The scenes are long, the cuts are weird, I have not a clue what anyone is doing in any of them, and I honestly have no idea what story they were trying to tell except maybe Amityville comes to the burbs.

Tobe Hooper may have directed this piece of shit, but Steven Spielberg wrote it. So yeah, if you wanna see something of Spielberg’s that falls somewhere between Close Encounters and ET but has no aliens?

This movie is for you

Get ready to endure some of the worst acting you’ve ever seen tho. Somewhere between 1970’s sitcom and off-off-Broadway.

Interesting note – there’s a scene where Craig T. Nelson (the dad) is showing a home to some potential buyers. They are in the kitchen area of this home, and the kitchen is identical to the kitchen in Nelson’s own home, except one is green and the other is yellow. This brought back some memories of my own youth in that I grew up in a neighborhood like this. Cookie-cutter homes. Almost all of them are identical.

Now, if you aren’t American, you may not be aware that the 1970’s was a pretty hot time in the Cold War, and we Americans were fighting the dirty Communists. Strange that so much in this country called America was more or less the same, in a time when individualism was being touted as the only way to freedom.

Final review point(s): Not only does Poltergeist suck horrifically, it’s a hazard to anyone with epilepsy. But some of the special effects were pretty good considering the time.

Some days you just cannot get away from.

Mondays, Fridays, bad days, good days…

they’re written in ink…

maybe even etched in stone.

Some days circle back and hit us again and again.

Today is one of those days.

! HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY 2020 !

Such a grand day here today, and fully representative of a day you plan, plot and prepare for, the anticipation and the excitement builds…

and then it rains

Yep, storms all last night, and today it’s cloudy/overcast, cold, and non-stop drizzling rain. A great day to be outdoors.

What’s that?

Hang on for a second readers…my conscience is speaking to me.

Today is also something else?

Something even more important than Memorial Day?

Something that may be more important than any other day of the year?

Holy SHIT! What in the hell could possibly be the most important day of the year?!?!?

Oh yeah! Now I remember!!!

! HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2020 ROOB !

^Deadmau5 – Sofi Needs A Ladder (1080p) || HD^

And yeah, on the conspiratorial calendar, it would appear that “kidnapped children on Mars” appears to be an actual thing…

No, NASA is not hiding kidnapped children on Mars

Kidnapping “resources” really isn’t anything new tho, so the kernel of the idea really isn’t that much of a stretch. Loads of places in the world where kidnapping and hostage taking is a way of life. A way to make a living. Ransoms, slavery, human trafficking, indentured servitude, credit card agreements, mortgages, promissory notes, non-disclosure agreements, EULAs, information collection, employment agreements, pledges of allegiance, oaths, vows, promises, swears, all kinds of ways of putting someone exactly where you want them in order to form a money making enterprise and/or maybe a power structure of some kind.

With you at or near the top of course

^Simian Mobile Disco – Audacity of Huge^

Is it really possible that someday people are going to be shipped to Mars?

Sure seems that way

As to why the trip is being made? Welp, that kinda depends largely on the individuals with the money to make the trip. What they do there when they setup shop? No idea. But you must approve of it in some way. You are funding them afterall. You devote your time to perform labor for others in exchange for money, you exchange that money for goods, and that money then goes into hands which can then do whatever in the fuck they want with it. Who are you to tell people what they can and cannot do with their money? If you don’t want them having “pizza parties” on Mars with kidnapped children, then don’t fucking fund the enterprise that’s planning on hosting the party.

They’re humans like you, and they have the same limitations as you. The only time they don’t, is when you empower them to be able to do things you cannot. How in the fuck do you think Christopher Columbus got the bread to fund his expedition? King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain, that’s how. Although we here and now do not live in times of kings and queens in the same ways as in the past. We do things a little differently, and who funds ventures, and how they are funded has changed a bit.

^Gary Beck – Say What (Adam Beyer Remix) [SAVED RECORDS]^

Dunno if this will make things more clear or more fuzzy, and I also dunno if anyone is even interested, but I thought maybe I’d do a little more on this “outward uniform symmetry from a central point” kind of thought which I talked a bit about in the previous missive. Meaning the bit on how in the fucking hell a certain element could develop simultaneously in distant and remote sectors of space. This is likely a bad idea. “Explaining yourself” is almost always terrible thing to do.

Fuck it. Let's do it

^We Share Our Mother’s Health – The Knife^

Mainly what I’m thinking is that maybe our ideas about distance(s) always being an accurate component of time. Perhaps some areas of space are older than others, and I’m talking proximate stuff. For example our galaxy is say…10 billion years old, but Andromeda (which is kinda close to us) is 105 trillion years old. Sounds impossible, yeah? Welp, there’s that thing about not only galaxies speeding up, but also that they are supposedly running away.

Q: Do they ever come back this way?

A: ???

What if, this acceleration were nothing more than a universal method of gaining momentum. We are talking about a fucking shitload of mass. Perhaps in order for an entire galaxy to achieve the momentum required to preserve its mass/energy and/or be economical with its mass/energy, it kinda has to go the long way round in order to gain or maybe even lose momentum. Again, we’re talking about an entire galaxy, and that’s a shitload of mass and a shitload of energy.

Perhaps a galaxy needs to be on a collision course with another galaxy, but in order to do that it has to go out on this long and seemingly convoluted journey in order to intercept. Or maybe it needs to actually avoid colliding with another galaxy. I’m also thinking that perhaps there are some galaxies which may contain life, maybe some that don’t. Beyond that as to which is/is not expendable?

Not a clue

We here have some pretty bizarre ideas as to when and what life is and is not expendable.

^Philip T.B.C. – Galactic (BTK Remix) [io.lab Records]^

Prolly sounds a bit too…”intelligent designy”, eh? I admit I honestly don’t know what to make of either side of any Intelligent Design nor Creator type of debate. Science is burning, smashing and slamming the fuck out of stuff all the time in order to get some mileage out of some available resource, so not sure why that tendency wouldn’t potentially have a much longer timeline than just and only the past few hundred or even past few thousand years, and also not sure of why such behavior would be relegated only to Earth/Terra. Maybe I personally am so fascinated by the concept of ‘The Big Swirl’, that its impossible for me to understand how ‘The Big Bang’ could work on its own.

/shrug

^Tim Tama – Something True [ARTSCORE011]^

I know the town that I live in isn’t that old. There’s a lot of things here that are much older than this town tho’. Might be a several hundred year old European painting here, maybe some Greek sculptures there, a book. a meteorite, a bone, no telling what. The road out front is new tho. The house is pretty old, the roof is new, and parts of the roof are even newer than the new roof thanks to a storm. Old trees out front, a new tree out back.

How in the hell is all this new and old stuff in such close proximity, and who and how is age determined?

^Vini Vici & Reality Test Ft. Shanti People – Karma^

Some days have passed since writing the above, but Roob pointed me towards Merovee today, and a comment there caught my eye regarding

“positrons traveling backwards in time”.

This got me to thinking again about the previous missive, my expansion upon those thoughts here, and I related something to Roob on Twitter regarding some of the more abstract time and times which exist in the same space and spaces at the same time.

“An old man wearing a new hat whilst walking his new puppy along an old path skirted by both young and old trees at the start of a new day at the end of a week in the middle of a month that falls at the beginning of the year in a new year at the end of a decade at the beginning of a century.”

One has to kinda question the age and ages of matter and energy itself. Lotta things to think about tho’. How these things developed, when, where, the concepts of old and new and relative to whom, etc.. Also loads of rules within Science telling us what can and cannot be done, and you have to play by those rules if you wanna play at all. Like a traveler abroad, gotta speak the language if you want to communicate. Kinda ironic that only this morning, a video appeared which seems to hover around the very topic of rules. Imma see if Roob wants to watch it with me.

^What is the Ultraviolet Catastrophe?^

That thing there is heavy on the math, light on context, devoid of explanation(except mathematically), and all but abandons the original-ish ideas first proposed in the video.

But hang in there

Maybe think of “the blackbody” as the pupil of your eye, and your eye as “the box”. Then kinda keep your eyes peeled for that “split” between classical physics and quantum physics. I guess the ears might also qualify somewhat as blackbodies. You might even be able to think of all kinds of blackbodies on your body, and if you spend a little time, can likely also think of lots of blackbodies in your own external environment(s). Now all you gotta think about is why certain things might wanna go there.

If “deceptionary” is not a word, it should be.

If “deceptionary tactics” is not a concept, it should be.

Things sometimes seem to “synch” backwards. You have all these weird ideas (like all of the writing above), then something happens to where everything you just thought about/wrote about over the course of several days comes together in weird ways over the course of a coupla hours. I don’t really wanna say “premonition”, because it doesn’t feel like a premonition at all. It’s also not a vindication because it doesn’t feel like that either. Just a strange meshing of certain cogs as seemingly incompatible wheels meet in time.

*Ooh, good choice. Thanks…*

Hello, Dear Reader, and welcome to Day 34 of lockdown at the LoL. Actually that’s not true – we’ve been open the whole time to visitors. This is a smoking area (see signage displayed to your left), and if there’s one thing to emerge from this time of pandemic, it’s that the Coronavirus appears to find smokers somewhat inhospitable…

*Take a looky… /lights up… Masked… /drags smoke into lungs… Full PPE..*

… Followed by an incredibly interesting documentary that had appeared in my Youtube ‘Recommended’ section earlier in the  evening. Whereas the Hindsight 20/20 video chappie complained of an abundance of information, so much so that he couldn’t possibly show it all, the documentary laid out the history and leading characters in the development of mankind’s perception of ‘Information’…

*Ooh, now that is interesting about time… /stubs butt… it’s not the doc we viewed though, Clicky. Stop messing about…*

*Yeah, you’re right. Apols, Clicky… /pats snout… Now play the fucking video…*

30-Day Song Challenge: Never Tire!

Day 11 of this challenging Song Challenge, Dear Reader, and it’s probably worth having a brief recap. It all started with a tweet…

…and now Cade fon Apollyon and I are a third of the way through already. Today we’ll be submitting songs that we never get tired of for your consideration…

*Clicky! Why in the sodding hell would you do that?*

paul smoked.gif

*I’m really glad you never get tired of it either… /flicks ash… But now I’ve gotta think of another one to start with. Cheers, Clicky…*

*You bastard…*

…So, pin back your lugholes, Dear Reader, and enjoy! ❤

Day 11: Song you never get tired of

Cade’s first song pick…

I’m guessing this needs to be a something I’ve listened to for a long time. Something with a long history of me listening to it. Something I can account for. Something with a track record. (pun intended) More than that, I guess this particular challenge is about “songs I’ve not yet tired of” more than “songs that I never get tired of”. Being human, and considering where we live, “change” is the norm and we’re subject to potentially tire of anything at any time for any reason(s). Maybe even no reason at all. Seeing as how my wizard cap and crystal ball are still on backorder, there’s no real way of knowing what songs I may think I’ll never tire of, but cause me to projectile-vomit at some point down the road. All that to say that I’m doing my best to think of songs that I’ve yet to tire of. Probably also should also be a something that I listen to a lot. Or have listened to a lot.

Just checked on YouTube, and there are 2,578 songs on the three “Bumpin Baby Thumpin” playlists that I’ve created over the past few years. There are an additional 1,660 songs on the various playlists I’ve created to reflect the music used in posts over at the Synchromysticism Forums (whatchacallit forums, as I liked to call them). That alone is 4,238 songs that I’ve found just over the past 7 or 8 years, and that’s not even all of it. I have many more playlists to choose from. Music that I like doesn’t tend to fall out of favor with me, so, what to do here?

^Entry Of The Gladiators – Julius Fucik^

Roob’s first song pick…

Cade, as he has a knack of doing, has hit upon a brilliant idea: I never get tired of listening to Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Thoughtful Man and I visited Salzburg for our first wedding anniversary and we paid a visit to his house. He wasn’t home, but I never held it against him 😉

^Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Eine kleine Nachtmusik^

Cade’s second song pick…

I got sick and fucking tired of this next one for a while, but only because of its association with television program “The Lone Ranger”. I used to watch that show when I was younger, and eventually, that audible alert of this tune playing indicating that the show was about to start? Yeah, we tire of alarms and warnings. Makes our heart race at first, but over time, those bells and klaxons sounding constantly make our hearts…sink. Dread. Turn the damn thing off.

Fortunately for me, later in life I got reacquainted with the tune. And boy, when you start to listen to it and pick it apart? What a fucking masterpiece. The way the pieces are assembled…the way they rise and fall…how every single little thing compliments everything else…how they all in unison compliment the entire piece. Putting all that together, and keeping it together? Astounding. It is truly a something to behold. Audibly, of course. So yeah technically I did tire of this at some point, but only because I didn’t know any better.

^ROSSINI: William Tell Overture (full version)^

Roob’s second song pick…

The fall masked man

*Oh, I love the story of the masked man in ‘The Fall’, Clicky… /puffs contentedly… The music is epic…*

*It was in ‘A Touch of Class’? …/blows smoke rings… Interesting…*

^Beethoven – Symphony No.7 in A major op.92-II, Allegretto^

Cade’s third song pick…

Wouldn’t be me if I didn’t give an honorable mention to an additional something or two that I have yet to tire of, but this last one could have easily gone on either the “sad” or “happy” post for me. A fave of mine ever since my parents brought home the soundtrack to the movie The Sting. Was shocking to hear that not everything “old” was so…polar. This tune didn’t seem to represent good nor evil. Just wanders right the fuck through all that bullshit and nonsense, and somehow manages to just kinda do its own thing.

^Scott Joplin – Solace (Mexican Serenade) HQ^

Roob’s third song pick…

Cade threw me for a loop with his first song pick today. The problem with classical music is that you really can’t get tired of it…

*I’ve spent all afternoon picking then changing my third song. It’s fuckin’ hopeless, there’s just so much good stuff… /stubs butt… I don’t know what to do. Help me please, Clicky…*

https://vimeo.com/254599307

*Seriously?*

The final word to Roob Click…

^Extreme – More Than Words (Official Video)^

*******

Day 12 and 13’s challenges look interesting: ‘songs from our pre-teen years’ and ‘songs from the 70s’, respectively. As Cade and I were both born in 1967, it looks like the next two days could turn into a smorgasbord of platforms, flares and lava lamps…

*A bit random, Clicky, but okay…*

Until then, Dear Reader, have a Song…

Adventures in Remote Viewing: Politics and the Pitts

For this past week, Dear Reader, my good buddy, Cade, and I have indulged ourselves in a spot of remote viewing. Three Brad Pitt movies on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and a thoroughly entertaining dose of ‘Dredd’ on Thursday…

Dredd smoking.gif

*Don’t mind if I do, Clicky… /slides fag from pack… I was feeling dread right up to the Exit Poll, I can tell you… /flicks lighter…*

… There was also the General Election on Thursday, and we remote viewed the results, as they came in through the night, via Yoot Oob…

‘In last week’s Mail on Sunday, after a month and a half travelling from Bolsover to Canterbury, St Ives to Chingford, Wrexham to County Durham, I predicted that Labour’s vaunted Red Wall was on the brink of collapse. I was wrong.

‘It didn’t collapse. It was smashed into a billion pieces. Atomised by the arrogance, ideological blindness, self-righteousness and viciousness of Jeremy Corbyn and his cultish followers.

‘When first elected in 2015, they inherited a battered but proud and functioning party. By the time The Absolute Boy made his graceless resignation speech in the early hours of Friday morning, all that was left was the political equivalent of the Manson clan.’

*Did you know that Dan Hodges… /lights up… can only see out of one eye? …/drags… Son of a double Oscar winning star… /plumes smokes… Great flick, Click. Surprised the fuck out of me…*

*Ha! I loved the credits on that too… /smokes… There’s been no Red Apols! from Labour either, Clicky, for their wankish policies or spiteful attitude toward voters for rejecting them…*

*You’d think! Government needs a strong and credible opposition to keep them straight, Clicky… /flicks ash… A thorn in their side, but this rump Labour lot…*

*/shakes head… I’m not optimistic…*

On Monday evening, we remote viewed Brad Pitt in ‘Seven Years in Tibet’. It was much better than I thought it would be…

*You know what they say about people in glasshouses, Clicky? …/thinks… There was also a full moon on Thursday… /drags… An’ then there’s de bussy… /blows smoke rings…*

… And on Tuesday evening, we partook of Brad Pitt’s new space flick, ‘Ad Astra’. That was more of a curate’s egg of a movie…

Roob and Cade discuss Ad Astra 1Roob and Cade discuss Ad Astra 2Roob and Cade discuss Ad Astra 3Roob and Cade discuss Ad Astra 4Roob and Cade discuss Ad Astra 5Roob and Cade discuss Ad Astra 6Roob and Cade discuss Ad Astra 7

*/final drag… Corbyn’s willful blindness. Check… /cough… Dan Hodges is a one eyed son…*

*Yeah, there was a definite touché of class about the election result, Clicky… /stubs butt… *

…I can, however, highly recommend ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ to you, Dear Reader. Cade and I remote viewed that on Wednesday evening and it is possibly the most loving crafted ‘Fuck You!’ movie from Quentin Tarantino yet. Seriously good…

*Nice try, Clicky, but that wasn’t in the movie soundtrack. Go get one that is for us to end this shambles on… /pats snout… Off you pop…*

And that, Dear Reader, was the remote viewing week that was for Cade Fon Apollyon and myself. It was a lot of fun and the Labour party got an immense kick in the butt. Perfecto! 😀

Have a Song… ❤
