Missive From ‘Merica: Missive #137

*Good grief, there’s full Moon, too, Clicky? …/bites lip… There’ll be lunatics abroad tonight…*

As promised in yesterday’s missive, Dear Reader, Cade has very kindly whizzed across the 137th installment of his wonder ramblings for your pleasure. I also mentioned yesterday that today, Friday 13th of September, has a connection with 137. Well, two actually…

Moss Goon

… The date when written out UK style is 13/9…

Moss Goon Reversed

*/Tuts… I haven’t finished yet, Clicky…*

… And 139 is a Twin Prime with 137…

Moss Goon

*Told ya… /sticks out tongue…*

… Plus as September is named for ‘seven’, the date can be conceived as 13/7. Then there’s the Alternative Thinking 37 sync…

*/lights up…*

…Raphael at that site has been thinking deeply and alternatively about ‘137’ for the longest time, and has amassed a 137 treasure trove. Yesterday he published a splendid post, the first in ages. 37 is the 12th Prime and today, of course, is the 37th Friday of 2019…

Scoob and Mystery Machine

*Yeah, yeah, and 37 is also the atomic number of ROOB ID, I AM… /smokes… It ain’t about me, Clicky…*

That’s why I am delighted to be able to present the Text US Okie Devil’s 137th missive for the LoL of it today, Dear Reader…

Enjoy! ❤

*******

Didn’t get the job – got the rejection email earlier. No big deal really – been turned down and/or ignored for prolly a thousand jobs over the past few years. But this one I was qualified for somewhat, and, I aced the typing test. 40 wpm average with a 98.5% accuracy on a 5 minute typing test ain’t that bad, especially for someone who typically doesn’t type by sight. In fact, I never type by sight. Like read something, and type it at the same time. I’m quite impressed with my typing test result. That’s no mean feat.

(me being impressed with myself)

Aphasia

Don't ask why I put that there
^DIE KRUPPS ~ Schmutzfabrik^

SO! What’s up over in Merovee land, eh? Was not my intent to kick a hornet’s nest. Just trying to understand what’s being said. Cade is not known for being the sharpest knife in the drawer, and it’s kinda nice to know where he stands.

^Front 242 – Rhythm of Time (Victor the Cleaner)^

From a learning standpoint, how did I just refer to myself? Would that be considered 2nd person? 4th person? Did some reading, and everything on this seems to center around pronouns, but I referred to myself by name.

AH HA!

Illeism

So yeah...3rd person

I guess in order to refer to yourself in the 4th person, you need both 1st and 3rd person. Wait…didn’t I do that? I used both “Cade” and “he”.

^Jump – Funkatarium^

How long until Trump spins his anti-e-cig/fake news crap as a trap. That’s what I’m wondering. Like, some kind of double-cross to “expose” fake news sources…

maybe?

Was reading Leg Iron’s latest post, and it really got me to thinking that PT will likely spin it. He’ll have to, assuming the “fake news” angle actually sticks. Where in the fuck did this vaping legislation even come from? Talk about coming from left-field, I woulda been less shocked if to hear that the President was introducing legislation that limited the number of toilet paper sheets citizens could use when wiping their butts. Not to mention, the limited reading that I’ve done is indicative that this is a regional problem. Meaning, the state in question should deal with it, not the Federal government. Something else is going on here, and I don’t think it has anything to do with THC, black market products or even vaping.

^Front 242 – Happiness (Dance Mix By Underworld)^

Kind of a holdover thought from the previous missive, but have you ever been somewhat submerged in water, had something float up next to you, you tried to push it away, and it winds up floating even closer to you? Or you try and pick it up from underneath the water, but it runs away from your hand? Or you try and distance your entire body from it, but it follows you? That’s kinda what I was thinking with respect to a body moving through a space, how to identify other bodies, and how to know how to react to those bodies without becoming unnecessarily entangled with those bodies because of your actions. I was thinking more about inorganic kinds of things, but these concepts aren’t much different in a lot of cases than dealing with organics. Like swatting at a wasp is likely to just irritate the fuck out of it. Same could be said of a leaf in a pool of water.

Less-destructive/non-destructive travel

That’s what I’m thinking of. To relate, the reason that supersonic travel is out, is because it’s destructive as hell. Commercial passenger parabolic space travel isn’t going to be much better. To relate even further, I just looked up some figures for SpaceX’s Falcon rockets.

For Falcon 9: 156.1 ± 4.9 dB (unweighted) at 125 ft.

For Falcon Heavy: 160.9 ± 4.9 dB (unweighted) at 125 ft.

Now, to put that in perspective. Like, those numbers… they need some perspective. Wanna come along?

It's gonna get loud
^Finitribe ‘We Have Come’^

As you can see, @ 156.1 and 160.9 decibels, the Falcon 9 and Falcon 9 Heavy rockets are hip deep in the intolerable pool. I think a shotgun blast is around 140 decibels, most commercial aircraft are around 130 decibels, and anything around those numbers and above is where the pain thresholds lay. So if we’re gonna have commercial parabolic space travel carting your tubby ass from Dallas to London in 30 minutes, let’s see what the locals are going to have to deal with.

Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport is the world’s fourth busiest airport, offering nearly 1850 flights per day and serving 64 million passengers a year.’

Source = Google – 12 September 2019 @16:22

Now, at 1,850 flights per day for a single airport (D/FW), we kinda need to know what the average passenger load for commercial aircraft is.

What is the average amount of passengers on a plane?

Those numbers look reasonable to me, and it’s something we really need to consider seeing as how, currently, rockets can’t even carry a single person, let alone hundreds. But to be fair, parabolic space flight is likely not the smartest of options for someone traveling from Dallas to Austin or even Dallas to New York. It’s unlikely that 1,850 rockets are going to be blasting off from D/FW each day, so let’s get a bead on the number of international flights that leave from the Metroplex.

Overall, DFW Airport has service to 223 destinations, including 56 international and 167 destinations within the United States. Fifteen of the 27 passenger airlines that serve DFW are foreign-flagged, and 12 are domestic.’

Source = Google – 12 September 2019 @ 16:27

That doesn’t tell us much, but some further reading implies that there are 30 flights per week from D/FW to London area airports, which means an average of 4.2 flights per day.

Q: Could we handle 4 rocket launches per day in this area?

A: ???

No idea, and that’s only the London service. Glass sales are going to go through the fucking roof.

^Skinny Puppy – Tin Omen^

What is the cost effectiveness of devising a system for aircraft that could avoid a bird? What about a system that could avoid an insect? Is that overkill? Altering the course of a 200/300 ton jet just to avoid a mosquito? Especially a mosquito.

Those things suck
^A Split Second – Flesh (Full 12″ Version) (Official video)^

Maybe there’s a balance in the quanta that we are missing. Some something in the ether that knows when and where we are being sloppy as fuck, and maybe where we need to improve in certain areas in order to advance in other areas. Like say… oh, I dunno… maybe in order to increase a certain medical treatment from 30.6% effectiveness to 45.9% effectiveness, all it takes is a reduction of 5% in the number of plants killed by herbicides. That energy has to come from somewhere right? It’s gotta go somewhere too, and there has to be some kind of sustainable something to get it there.

^symphonix – everything you want^

How much of a reduction in life you figure it takes before there’s an implication that life is no longer needed and/or no longer wanted here on our planet. You think it possible that there are solar/galactic/universal audit trails? If so, prolly going to be a lot more audit trails nested in there. Almost like Synthetic CDO’s that are based upon and travel from to and through some base structures. Damn, that sounds like a logistical nightmare. Boy…I sure hope there are some folks thinking in streams like these. Our administration costs could skyrocket if we aren’t somewhat prepared for administratives like that.

Synthetic CDO

For anyone so inclined to wander
^A SPLIT SECOND – MAMBO WITCH (EXTENDED VERSION) 1988^

Joining the galactic community sounds expensive.

Of course, I hear joining the EU is pretty goddamn expensive too.

Apparently, leaving the EU is pretty goddamn expensive as well.

Hey, Greenpeace! You guys/gals have paid positions?

I know a guy who is looking for work. He’s OK with heights and types @ 40 wpm.

I had to sort through missives 001 through 081 to find that formatting. Dunno why I thought there was more to it than that. Oh well, was kinda fun to scan some of the older writings. I’ve discovered that I am somewhat…wordy.

*gasp*
^Anne Clark – Our Darkness^

Speaking of being wordy, ever heard of this?

Neurasthenia

Me either. Damn interesting tho. Sounds like Van Deusen and Beard were at odds as to exactly what the root cause of this condition was, but it seems they were in agreement that it was related to some kind of detachment or dissociative something. REALLY interesting that it was associated with “anyone who lives within the monetary system” and also a “culture-bound syndrome”. No fucking wonder the condition has been deprecated, redacted and/or relegated to the footnotes. Can’t have people thinking that society and/or monetary systems can make you sick. This was all going on in the big fucking middle of the Industrial Revolution too. Ya think maybe people were lamenting days gone by? Developing a hate for the future via a really fucking nasty and confusing present?

Nah. Unpossible
^Killing Joke – Eighties^

Are you fucking shitting me?

Google Says a Change in Its Algorithm Will Highlight ‘Original Reporting’

First Trump appears to kowtow to fake news, and not a day later, Google is changing their algorithm to give precedence to “whoever gets there first”? Are you really trying to tell me that news reporting agencies and media groups aren’t completely inundated with moles and informers who get paid to steal stories/information prior to publication so the competition can scoop them? Not only that, did Google really just throw it’s hat into the peer-reviewed and/or authentication/validation ring? Whoever appears first in the results is authentic/genuine?

Fuckin-a…and I thought I was an idiot for spending my days pondering time-travel and teleportation. You guys are fucking morons. Of course, thinking about it now, there is a flip side. Anyone engaging in journalistic thievery are going to somewhat expose themselves by rushing to print and trying to beat everyone else to publication so that Google will boost them in the rankings. It’ll take some time for all that to shake out tho. Could be a lot of heads roll. I take my earlier thoughts back Google. Well played.

(maybe)
^Nothing in the Sun – Ceremony^

Thinking about that now, there is another downside tho. This could potentially give basically “data monopolies” to certain publishers. I write about all kinds of stuff that I hear in “the news”. Am I no longer allowed to write about it? This kinda smacks of broadcast news back in the 1970s and maybe 1980s. You get the story, or you don’t. If you beat the competition to a story? They may not bother reporting on the story at all.

But yeah, I’m wondering as to what exactly will constitute “originality” within the scope of specific events. Not only that, but how are you going to handle those common courtesy types of references. Like, where USA Today will start off a story with “The New York Times is reporting that…”? Especially when the story devolves to “But CNN has reported that…”.

How you gonna handle shit like that?

In cases like that, the story has become the story itself and the stories themselves, and an entirely new story has emerged as a result of the original reporting on…whatever in the fuck they’re reporting on. Anyway, I would think a purveyor of information (Google) is not going to be able to retain your illusory image of non-bias with a change like this. May as well go ahead an clutter up the empty space on that main Google page with paid advertisements and other bullshit. The cloak of your plain-covered wrapper advertising an unbiased Google is completely blown.

^Belouis Some – Imagination (Official Video) (HD)^

Maybe someone is simply missing their monopolies?

Seeking that olden fyre of yore.

Thing is…was that monopoly ever yours?

Or did you just read about it.

Is “olden” and “yore” in the same sentence…overkill?

Redundant?

Even if I’m purposely attempting to be ironic and/or overly expressive and excessive?

^Saint Etienne – You’re In A Bad Way (Video)^

Much pee pee needs to come out of me.

brb

K…I’m back. I was washing my hands seeing as how I touched my small and filthy penis, and made the mistake of looking in the mirror whilst I swashed my mitts. As I looked at myself, I got to wondering if there are some better glasses frames out there for me. Maybe these black horn-rimmed glasses aren’t the best for a face like mine.

A face like mine

What kind of eyewear would best compliment a face like mine. The only thing that I could come up with that might better compliment my face, is a welding mask. I wonder if they make those welding masks with a prescription-strength glass.

^The Cure – Lullaby (Official Music Video)^

Impossible. Teleportation is impossible. The complete disassembly and reassembly of a lifeform is impossible. There’s no precedent…there are no precedents. There are no models…there’s nothing but science fiction and fantasy.

I agree with you on all counts

On all counts, I agree with you wholeheartedly.

^Billy Idol- Flesh for Fantasy (lyric video)^

Sometimes, there just isn’t enough to talk about in order to accommodate all the images I stumble across. I am wondering how your week was.

Yeah...you

How the fuck are you? All of this bullshit is pointless without you, and I have a concern for your well-being. Kind of a passive concern, also a clueless concern, but a concern nonetheless. Been watching a lot of compilation videos lately of road ragers, and you are likely out in that mess day after day. Gotta be rough. Seems like the slightest of things will set someone off, and mistakes on the roadways are strictly taboo. No margins for error. No margins at all based on what I’ve been seeing. I wonder if there are people who get in their cars or on the motorcycles or whatever, and get out on the roadways for the specific purpose of finding someone to get pissed off at.

May wanna keep an eye out for pricks like that
^Lords Of Acid – Take Control^

Speaking of these videos that I’ve been watching, some of the “UK Road Rage” videos are pretty funny, some are downright depressing, but there seems to be an overall theme as to establishing who is right/wrong in a given situation. Like, actively pursuing justice in real time. No court, no judge, no jury, no law…have this out, right fucking here, right fucking now.

This isn’t endemic to just and only the UK, but on watching these videos, I woulda assumed that British drivers would be a tad more friendly, and MUCH more forgiving than drivers in America. Small roads, narrow roads, close quarters, lots of twists and turns, lots of intercepts and crossings, few lanes, and MANY more types of vehicles operating in the same environment, not mention lots of pedestrians. Seems like you’d almost have to be a friendly and forgiving person to survive in such an environment.

That appears to not be the case. What really stands out tho? The curses. I’ve watched enough of these vids now to kinda get the feeling that the first word(s) out of a driver’s mouth on the video is indicative of where that person is from.

Bellend

Prick!

Fucking prick!!

What the hell?!

Fucking idiot!!

Nutter

Fuck off!!!

Upon watching vid after vid, trends began to appear. I could only assume that people from a certain area have more of a propensity to respond a certain way, or call someone a certain something, based on the regional dialect. “Bellend” was the one that kinda got me to thinking, as it appeared that maybe people in the northern regions were more apt to use this word first. Not that I am an expert in British accents, but I do try and keep my ears open/be mindful of them. Was also kinda surprised that the use of “bollocks” is rare in these vids. Did hear it a few times tho. Anyway, just thought that language thing was kinda interesting.

^Deadmau5 + Kaskade – Move For Me [Extended Mix] (1080p) || HD^

Oooooh!!!! I fucking LIKE that one. Wanna see what it looks like at a faster speed? Me too, but I’m not gonna add it here. You wanna speed it up yourself? Right click the link, copy image address, go here, paste the link address in the box, upload the image, and tinker with the speeds to your heart’s content. I’m gonna warn you in advance tho, that one does not speed up well. Speed seemed to cap for me at about 1000%. I’m sure an image with less frames would do better, and at 120 frames total, that image is a shade beefy.

Which reminds me, anyone else notice all the “asteroid” and “asteroid close approach” news lately? It’s been almost daily for several weeks now. Is someone trying to tell us in a roundabout way that some new NEO tracking system has come online and it’s now not only being used, but being used to great effect? If so, I can only imagine how much bad news is ahead, and not just and only the operating costs. Guess I could search for press releases regarding any new tracking systems, but it just seems weird that some new asteroid is in the news almost every goddamn day.

Weird things are strange
^OMC – How Bizarre^

Is it just me? Or do we have a discrepancy between this and this?

Thought maybe I’d be clever and see if there was a song named 137, or maybe a song centered around 137, but found those tones instead. Listened to the first to see how clear it was, then checked the second to see how clear it was, and immediately noticed there was a discrepancy between the two. Wanna see how bad it is? Do this:

  • Open the first video in one tab, pause it, then open the second video in a second tab and pause it as well.
  • Once you have both vids open, start playing the first vid, pop over to the other tab and start playing the second vid.
  • You should hear some oscillation with both vids playing at the same time.

If you wanna play further, open that second link in a tab, then open this in another tab. You’ll get a similar oscillation, but it’ll be different because one is a sine wave, and the other is a square wave, whereas the first two were both sine waves.

Sup douchebag. Or, douchebags…if there are more than one of you. Doing OK today? Wanna travel a potentially dark path? Me either too neither also.

Q: Why do Christians hate Satanists?

A: ? ? ?

The concept of Satan and/or Satanism springs from your own mythos, right? So I really don’t see what you get in such a twist over every time that/those particular part(s) of your own bullshit is mentioned. Seems like all you need to do in order to defeat Satan or Lucifer or the Devil or whoever, is edit them out. Redact their evil ass(es) from The Bible.

 Problem solved

But wait, you can’t do that can you? Not only does God say not to change one word, but you can’t remove the opposition. The opposite is what allows the entirety of the structure(s) to stand in the first place. Man, you guys are staring down the barrel of Gnosticism aren’t you. I mean, you’re gonna have to face the fact that you’re eventually gonna have to blame God for everything at some point, and I get the feeling that this is almost the entirety of what makes up the basis for Gnosticism…

blame God

Or if you want to avoid those pesky Gnostic conundrums, you can just keep Big Red in The Bible, God is off the hook, problem solved? Is that how this works? I’m asking because I don’t know.

^Iron Maiden- The Prisoner^

You really don’t think I think you’re a douchebag, do you?

You aren't, right?

I wouldn’t sweat being called names…

X: Can I add something here?

Cade: Oh, hello. I’m sure you can add something with a modicum of effort.

X: How do you figure that you completely forgot that your favorite Iron Maiden song even existed?

Cade: Woah. I woulda expected a question like that to come from 0: or T:.

X: Anyone but me?

Cade: Pretty much, yeah.

0: Do you have an answer?

Cade: Welp, you’ve kinda muddied the waters as to what question needs to be answered.

B: No…you did that.

Cade: Muddied the waters?

B: Yes.

Cade: I realize that. But X: typically doesn’t start conversations via a rather detailed question.

Z: Are they typically more of an “observational” type of instigator?

Cade: Yeah. Fuzzy, but knowing.

F: What in the hell does that mean?

Cade: Welp, can I answer the original question first?

T: Will that give you time to think about how to respond?

Cade: Yes. And in answer to how I could possibly forget that my favorite Iron Maiden song even existed? Time.

X: Time, and…???

Cade: Time and rejection.

X: Rejection?

Cade: Yes. I started to “reject” heavy metal music when it started to get kinda…

Z: Foofoo?

Cade: Yes. Foofoo, or fufu or whatever. Frilly. Sparkly. Glam.

Z: You wanted to stay in the dark.

Cade: Yeah, something like that. I was just beginning to understand the dark, become comfortable with the dark.

X: And then?

Cade: Light.

0: Too much focus on the dark creates a glare.

Cade: Now that you put it like that, yeah. Like flicking on a light just as your eyes have adjusted to the dark.

Z: Or coming indoors on a bright and sunny day?

Cade: Yeah that too. Not grey as much as a weird mish-mashy rainbow of colors trying to find where they go/where they need to be.

X: That’s quite the description. Ever thought of it like that before?

Cade: Not really. But now that I think about it, it’s almost like shoving a rainbow flavored sno-cone into your eye.

T: How many time do you think you’ve heard that song The Prisoner?

Cade: A bunch. I used to listen to it over and over.

T: The song has a lot of colors.

Cade: Indeed it does. Up-tempo with a down-tempo intro, clarity, confusion, decision, anger, hope…

X: …and rejection.

Cade: Yes! That song does have some “rejection” overtones in it doesn’t it?

X: I hadn’t noticed.

Cade: lolz

X: 😉

F: Ahem.

Cade: I gotta scroll up, because I forgot what you asked.

F: Don’t bother.

Cade: K.

X: He’s gonna “bother” you know.

F: Why would he, when I specifically requested that he not?

0: Because he wants to know.

T: He thinks he does.

B: In the event the question is raised again.

Cade: Do I need to be here for this conversation?

F: Don’t do what I asked you not to do, and the problem is solved.

Cade: Not from my vantage point.

F: You scrolled.

Cade: Indeed I did, and in answer your original question, “knowing an answer” does not necessarily mean that you know how to provide that answer to a particular individual?

F: You were thinking of anecdotal evidence as you typed that.

Cade: Of course I was.

F: To relate the answer?

Cade: I would say, “to better relate the answer”, but that’s just me.

F: And why is that?

Cade: Because I can have the answer to a question…

T: But that doesn’t mean that you understand it.

Cade: Correct. Even less so with respect to answering an individual.

F: You know a lot of things you don’t understand?

Cade: Um, I think I need to be careful in answering that.

X: Booya.

Cade: Booya indeed.

F: What does that mean? “In your face F:?”

Cade: No. It is a correctness in the moment which buys more time for contemplation on if and how to answer your question.

F: Wait, you are saying you have answers to questions, and you don’t understand these answers, therefore you are hesitant to share these answers you have, simply because you yourself do not understand them?

Cade: Yes. Not always mind you.

F: What the hell does that mean?

Cade: Wow, my head is suddenly a train wreck.

Z: If only you were able to find a relatable anecdote, you wouldn’t be in this mess.

Cade: Tru dat.

F: You probably just have an inner desire to talk. Therefore your first instinct is block direct answers so as to inspire conversation.

Cade: Welp, that’s complete bullshit. I’m typically told that I have the finesse and delicacy of an asteroid slamming into the Yucatan Penninsula.

0: He ain’t lying.

F: How so?

A: Usually, he gives very direct answers in order to avoid conversation.

Z: Dry as the desert.

X: Heartless as stone.

T: All to avoid confusion.

Cade: Oy vey.

0: Oy vey indeed.

Cade: Avoid any perception of being deceitful.

X: Take the beating.

Cade: Forever and always, take the beating.

X: Booya.

F: Take the beating?

Cade: Get it over with. The beating is going to come irrespective of how the information is provided.

F: No justification? No rationalization?

Cade: Wait a moment here, anyone reading that might become confused as to who is rationalizing what.

Z: And why.

Cade: And why.

F: I’m confused.

Cade: Yes, I have many answers. Yes, I have many answers that I personally do not understand. Yes, I have grown hesitant in providing said information when asked for it.

F: Perhaps you are trying to avoid these beatings afterall?

Cade: Do you know what comes after?

F: Can you explain that? I don’t understand.

Cade: After someone asks me “do you know…”, and I answer directly and succinctly, do you know what comes after?

F: Another question?

Cade: Exactly. What I know, then after I tell what I know comes the question of how I know it.

F: And then?

Cade: Its a mess.

F: So, you know a bunch of stuff, but don’t know how you know it.

Cade: There are libraries you know.

F: Meaning…what?

Cade: We encountered eachother. It’s highly unlikely that I know something that others don’t know. So if you want a different source, there are plenty available.

F: Wait, is this about synchronicity?

Cade: Somewhat. Time. You want something in a timely manner, I give it to you, perhaps that saves you some time from having to go somewhere else to get it.

F: And if you don’t answer my question?

Cade: Then perhaps I was not the one that was supposed to give you the information you needed. I’m not a fucking ATM machine.

F: And what is that supposed to mean?

Cade: Go ask an ATM machine for a bottle of Dr. Pepper a bag of Cheetos and find out what I mean. Might ask the ATM machine what it thinks of the new Avengers movie whilst you are at it. Chat about the weather. Perhaps ask for investing advice or get them to comment on your wardrobe choices.

F: I would not do such a thing.

Cade: I don’t care if you would or wouldn’t.

F: Why don’t you care?

Cade: Because I don’t. “Fuzzy knowing”, I would think anyway, is not as much about whether or not to provide information requested, but how to provide the information. A “rock” is not just and only “a rock”.

F: It is if it’s a six mile wide asteroid slamming into the Yucatan Peninsula.

Cade: That isn’t a rock at all…it’s a missile.

0: If I may be so bold as to interject, this is getting a bit long, don’t you think?

Cade: It is indeed.

F: …

If you want answers, I got em’. Step right up and get your answers.

Ya know, I gotta admit…

…I didn’t have the slightest desire to drop anything upon reading the text of that tweet. In fact, the only thing that I had a sudden desire to do, was that I seemed to have a sudden desire to NOT go read your full-length six-section ebook with its searingly urgent and imminent message. And what’s with the Pepe The Frog MOAB? Didn’t Alex Jones get sued for using shit like that?

Hey you! Yeah, you…the one who is reading this right now. Do you even know what a MOAB is?

Anyway, I get the feeling that whatever this searingly urgent message is, is prolly more along the lines of investment advice and/or some kind of corporate signaling. That’s just me being conspiratorial tho.

Movies are supposed to be entertaining. Movies are supposed to be titular. Exciting. Interesting.

Entertainment. Movies are something you are supposed to want more and more of. With respect to those concepts…

Q: Does the blending of “the hideous” within a wrapper of “entertainment” muddy meaning(s)?

A: ???

More than that, would you know if movies had switched in their usage/utilization between a medium of entertainment, and one of entrainment? Not indoctrination, as much as entrainment. An intentional mixing/blending of concepts in order to manifest certain emotions that typically operate on different frequencies and/or carry different resonances?

Lemme give an example. Recently, the “antihero” archetype has become quite prevalent in movies, and especially superhero flicks. There’s nothing new about the antihero, but the depictions of them in movies is quite new. Ace Ventura is an antihero. The Man With No Name is an antihero. Frankenstein’s Monster is an antihero. Charles Kane is an antihero. The Shadow is an antihero.

Wait a minute here…there’s nothing new about antiheroes, except in superhero movies. Depictions of superheroes with flaws…maybe that’s what is new here. But that can’t be, because all superheroes have weaknesses. So why is it, that I would get the idea that someone is trying to use subtleties in the medium of movies to influence my outlook on certain things? Oh, that’s right, it’s because there are fucktons of people out there who are battling over the hearts and minds of the masses.

Maybe that's why I'm confused
^Sorten Muld – Bonden og Elverpigen (lyrics)^

What do you get, when you try and unconfuse someone who is not confused? Like say, I am a someone who already has the same ideas about perfection as you. If you think that I am someone who does not share your views on perfection, and you start hitting me with concepts specifically designed for those with opposing views, how would I react to those concepts? Nodding agreement? Or is confusion the more likely outcome. After all, wouldn’t you be preaching to the converted? That leaves me with no other conclusion than to wonder why in the fuck you are talking to me at all. Recruitment? Initiation?

 Some kind of security check?
^Renegade Soundwave – Cocaine Sex (LP original)^

Here’s the dealio, I started writing this whatever yesterday morning, and yesterday afternoon, I watched a coupla movies that confused the living shit out of me. Quite sure they confused me because I didn’t understand the characters and their motivations. But the movies were Split and Glass.

Split (2016 American Film)

Glass (2019 Film)

What in the fuck is a stealth sequel?

The Wiki page for Split says that Split is “Hollywood’s first stealth sequel”. Anyway, I was kinda confused by the motivations of the character in Split. But then again, I had a tough time trying to decide if Split was a metaphor for government(s), more than it was a story about some nutcase living in a bomb shelter/prepper bunker.

The reason I thought the movie might be metaphorical, is because killing is the only answer. And not just and only killing, but theft, thievery and overbearing/obtrusive enslavement. Murder is also theft, slavery is supposedly illegal as is involuntary servitude. I’m kinda avoiding the topic of kidnapping because I’m trying to understand any points that Shyamalan might be trying to make in the subtext. Kinda sad really, because I sometimes feel that I can’t watch and enjoy a movie without nitpicking the fuck out of the story for “hidden meanings”.

Le sigh

It gets worse tho, because I then watched Glass. Oy vey, it only got muddier from there.

^public enemy – lost at birth – Apocalypse 91…The Enemy Str^

Glass seems to focus on the concept of ‘Due Process’.

Due Process

‘Due Process’ is top down. That means in order for the concept to be valid, it must be respected and honored from top to bottom, at all times.

This is the Achilles’ heel of every superhero, and the eventual destruction of every supervillan…when and if to respect someone else’s rights. I guess this is why the concept is ever-present in comic books. You’ve got people who are sick and tired of waiting for the slow wheels of justice to turn, and they take matters into their own hands. We’re talking about folks here who likely trust these systems of government implicitly, and when these governments and their systems don’t deliver? Anger and rage are swift amongst the converted.

These governments get their due and proper from us after all, on time and without fail, otherwise these governments and their arms of retribution are swift and firm with us. It’s almost as if these government are indifferent to our taxpayer-on-taxpayer crimes. Wait, I meant to say citizen-on-citizen crime(s). But yeah, this third party is indifferent as to what has transpired, and even if anything has transpired. After all, they are late to the party. But at the start of the movie Glass, the “heroes” are being accused of denying criminals their right to ‘Due Process’. In other words, the government wants their piece of the action. Ironic that this character who accuses the heroes of denying rights to ‘Due Process’, themselves denied the heroes their rights to ‘Due Process’.

I’m not going to spoil the movie further, but I’ll just say that both movies are some really great stories with fucktons of flaws. I almost get the feeling that these flaws are intentional, only because I know that Shyamalan is a clever motherfucker and a great storyteller. But let me add one last thing here real quick…

Good Samaritan Law

Yes, whether you know it or not, there are indeed laws that dictate behavior. Laws that eradicate choice completely, and lead to a ridiculously twisted web of “what I would have done in that situation” types of debates.

/me rolls eyes
^Madeleine Peyroux – J’ai Deux Amours^

giphy

So…there is a law…it states that you must stop and render aid if you see a car crash.

So…there is a law…it states that you cannot carry a pocket knife on your person.

So…there is a car crash in front of you. You stop because you are legally obligated to do so.

So…a person in one of the cars is trapped because the seat belt is jammed from the impact.

So…the car is on fire.

So…you have no way to cut this seatbelt because knives are illegal to carry.

So…you are required to be a superhero, but your hands are tied.

So…this law required you to stop and watch/witness this person burn to death as you stand helpless.

Yep, it’s a mess.

Good luck!

^Renegade Soundwave – Thunder^

Don’t ask me how in the fuck this started off with contemplating the concept of defects in your own religion’s mythos, and wound up contemplating comic books and movies. Just kinda…happened that way.

^Los Twangers – Vista Cruiser 69^

Is it possible to plan chaos? I bet a healthy dose of order would help.

Sorry, just really lost in this concept of onscreen retribution and/or vengeance. But then again, I guess onscreen forgiveness would be boring as fuck. A superhero wandering around absolving criminals of their crimes? What a snoozefest. The hero could just as well stay home, kick their feet up, have a beer, eat some Doritos and watch television. That would be a good show model for product placement tho.

*******

Today is now Monday the 17th of September 2018, and as soon as I woke this morning, I started thinking about how to create an atom of Gold (Au) using only three particles – one Proton, one Neutron, and one Electron.

So what I immediately starting thinking about was speed, which got me to thinking about light traveling as both wave and particle, I got to thinking about Neutrinos/Tachyons, The Particle Zoo, double-slit, gold-leaf, then started bouncing around through time a little bit to see if I could make 79 protons, 79 electrons and 118 neutrons and single atom using only 1 electron/proton/neutron.

I could.

I started thinking about the classic depictions of atoms, some of the newer models including some of the tinkering done with computing and text and the like, then added t(pfp)* to think about where and when a particle would need to be in order to appear to be in anywhere from 79 to 118 places at the same time, PLUS, all of the places that particle DIDN’T need to be in order to be where it needed to be.

In order to do THAT, I had to think about what creates mass in the first place, and I initially came up with (s*s) = m. Using the (Tachyon¹+Neutrino²(1))³ model, where two instances of the same particle are simultaneously moving at opposite/opposing speeds in the same place at the same time AND/OR at different places at different times, I got to thinking about The Big Bang, and how it may not have been the “explosion” that we think it was.

*t(pfp) = time¹ * ((past + future + present) = times) = time.

t¹ * t ³ = Tⁿ or (T∞)

  All times are infinite.

All angles are infinite.

  All speeds are infinite.

All distances are infinite, including the infinitely finite.

Observer, context, time = ∞ = -1 + 0 + 1 = ∞

Just making some mental notes 🙂
^George Benson: Give Me the Night (Official Video Remastered) HQ^

Anyway, I got to thinking about the dynamics that make it possible for matter to have mass, which got me to thinking about the dynamics that make it possible for matter to have no mass, and I wound up at a point that was ridiculously small, which was creating something ridiculously large, and I was bouncing back and forth in the space between. That got me to thinking about…energy.

Energy in the form of sound and light.

This is heavy.

Overview – Heavy periods – NHS – UK

So what’s all this business about heavy blood and/or gravity, mass and motion affecting menstrual cycles? Welp, it’s been over two weeks since I wrote on this piece of shit, so let’s do some numbers, and let’s assume that there are 2,000,000,000 women on the planet who are capable of menstruation.

80ml x 2,000,000,000 = 160,000,000,000ml

160,000,000,000ml = 160,000,000 liters

160,000,000 liters = 42,267,528.3773 US Gallons

Now, it’s only been two weeks, so let’s us cut those numbers in half.

(no pun intended)

80,000,000 liters = 21,133,764.18865 US Gallons

21+ million gallons/80 million liters of blood has flowed from the no-no areas of women worldwide since I started pondering some thoughts about menstruation two weeks ago. I wonder what someone would be willing to pay for a source that produced those kinds of numbers every two weeks?

Am I grandstanding? Bullshit numbers to reinforce bullshit concepts? Or am I tossing around rough figures in order to better understand scope. I mean really, who sits around calculating the amount of menstrual blood being shed. In fact, who sits around and calculates any type(s) of blood being shed, irrespective of why/how?

Catch my drift?

I just calculated digit by digit, and there are 473.176473 milliliters in a pint.

Don't believe me?

Go to Google, search for “473.176473” without the quotes, then look at the first result. Some numbers are contextually unique.

Fine-Structure Constant

I forget, therefore I…I…I…um, I am sometimes forgetful.

I think, therefore I am capable of incapability.

I think I am anyway.

Maybe you are a better judge of that kind of thing.

/me shrugs
^Penguin Cafe Orchestra – Perpetuum Mobile^

Let’s bring it home.

How much does human blood weigh?

1.04 grams per cc.

80,000,000 liters = 80,000,000,000 cc’s

80,000,000,000 cc’s x 1.04 grams = 83,200,000,000 grams

83,200,000,000 grams = 83,200,000kg

83,200,000kg = 183,424,602.14 pounds

Can you imagine what a tick that weighed 183,424,602.14 pounds would look like? Or a leech? A parasite that large would need a host like Godzilla to feed off of. You’d need a fucking herd of Godzillas. King Kong would be nothing more than a snack. Sorry, just brainstorming for context.

Prophet       Nomad       Hero       Artist

This is a concept that someone I know talks about now and then. Something to do with turning. I understand the concept, and may even understand some of the concepts, but what I have trouble with is the overlap and the missing bits. But a premise in a Doctor Who episode that we watched recently kinda touched on a concept regarding resonance(s) and timbre(s) within DNA/genetics that smacked of destiny and predestination. Meaning, there was an attachment made at some point, this attachment was at the genetic level, and any offspring will carry the resonance of that attachment, which in turn leaves markers/tunnels/channels for a third-party to exploit for their own purposes as these genes are passed from generation to generation.

Q: Ever heard of hydrogen peroxide?

A: !!!

I guess there is all kinds of craziness that can produce an orphan.

So here’s what I did with the aforementioned concept in order to better illustrate my thinking on the subject(s) of overlaps and omissions…

I’m not necessarily thinking about “people who don’t make the cut” or survival of the fittest. I’m thinking more of what we chalk up as chance. I’m thinking more multi-threading and multi-capable, and I’m also thinking about properties that have similarities and/or multifariousness that must exist to create a singularity.

EX1: I would imagine that a Nomad is likely to need to possess many of the same attributes as a Hero. They simply arrive at adversity in different ways, and handle adversity using different methods.

EX2: An artist would likely need to possess attributes of both a Hero AND a Nomad. Artistry of any kind tends to require both solitude and daring.

With that in mind, what ultimately makes us who we are?

I dunno either.

I guess it largely depends on who you are trying to impress.

^Papas -Mr. Loco (Nacho Libre Soundtrack)^

So what if all the Prophets for a given generation, die? Someone is going to have to pick up that slack. Nomads might be a good first choice since Nomads and Prophets seem to have a mutual need for solitude.

But hang on a second…what is a Prophet anyway? And for that matter, what in the fuck is a Nomad? Is what a Nomad was then, the same as what a Nomad is now? I mean fuck, there’s a biker gang here in the US called The Nomads. Are they somehow more Nomadic than other biker gangs just because they’ve got a clever name? Are biker gangs more Nomadic now than they were then, or less?

Does that matter?

Biker gangs aside, how far does one have to wander in order to be considered qualified for the title of Nomad? Who makes that determination, and when? Why are they qualified to make such a determination? Tough answers, require tough questions.

In these four episodes of Doctor Who that we watched, there were a lot of concepts addressed somewhat, and these concepts were themed throughout the episodes. Meaning, they were paid at least a moderate amount of attention during the episodes…all except one…randomness. Keep in mind that I’ve never watched Doctor Who before, and this was the first time that I’d seen these episodes.

Randomness was mentioned briefly in one of the four episodes, then dismissed. As far as I can recall, it was never addressed again, and I watched rather intently for it to reappear…

it did not.

It was as if the entire cast of players were looking for a playbook to follow step-by-step, found one, then decided that explosives and firearms was the way to solve all of their problems. Um…if you find some ancient book, what’s the likelihood of the authors having access to explosives of any kind at the time of writing? What is our connection to ancient peoples at all? Do we even have any?

This is a problem with time-travel. You are going to have to get rid of any notions you have about privacy, which means you are going to have to dump any notions you have about pride, freedom, choice, truth, dishonesty, deception and a host of other ego-pumping concepts. A time traveler who has free range backwards, forwards and to, can find out anything and everything they want to know about you. They have all the time in the Universe to see where you started, where you ended up, and everything that happened between.

Q: What if the time-traveler is not immortal?

A: How can you prove someone is immortal?
AA: There is no way.
AAA: Immortality appears to be a walk that simultaneously has the properties of never having started, and also never stops.

Loopholes to immortality aside, how can you knowingly be dishonest to someone who already knows the truth? Welp, best I can figure, is stay the fuck away from truth, and just be yourself. Remember, we are talking about more than one perspective here, and fact is not truth. You can study the shit out of someone’s CV, fact check and verify the shit out of it, but that is no indicator as to the relationship that you will have with this person. This is a new relationship afterall, and this pairing is a new dynamic that has never existed before.

Today is Sunday September 16 of 2018, and I’ve been sitting on this post since Thursday August 30 of 2018.

Ya rly.

I started with that shit about blood and twisting lines, and I’ve been pondering the mechanics of the micro and particulate as it pertains to a woman’s menstrual cycle for over two weeks now.

You think it unusual that a man would spend weeks considering a woman’s menstrual cycle? About how ergonomics and nutrition and lifestyle and the like affect a woman’s naughty bits with respect to time and gravity and motion and all kinds of other crazy factors?

Over the course of a lifetime, I wonder how much cotton and other fibrous material accumulates in a woman’s body, and how that individual woman’s body acclimates and/or handles this…stuff.

Filler(s)? Additives? Preservatives?

Sound crazy? Welp, if you put enough magnetic interference around a compass, eventually, the compass is going to have difficulty with finding its way and/or doing what it is designed to do.

EX: From a global perspective, do you think that people living in the northern hemisphere eating watermelon in January is unusual?

I think the circadian clock(s) are based on, and guided by, more than just/only a 24 hour cycle. I mean, how in the fuck did it get to 24 in the first place? What keeps it there? I’ve this sneaking suspicion that dark matter/energy plays a role.

Quick thought…

Q: How does one get money out of The UN?

A: In UN Dough

Sorry for the lame pun/bad joke, but the UN Secretary General appeared on my radar yesterday, and I can’t help but wonder if this Brexit nonsense is more of a battle between The EU and The UN, and which side The UK is going to wind up on. Of course, there’s also the NATO angle(s), which is muddied somewhat by the Trump/Putin connection(s)…assuming there are any. But those will be severed when Trump goes to prison with Clinton.

tumblr_oraeeyclwd1rhhef8o2_540What is our preferred method of disposal?

Yeah dummy…for garbage, what is the preferred method of disposal for garbage?

A: Fire/Burning

In our conversations, RooBeeDoo mentions the spine quite a bit. Well, maybe not “quite a bit”, but she mentions it frequently enough that I notice. That said, she never elaborates, and any links that she provides tend to be vague, distant and/or unrelated to whatever we are discussing. Anyone who has spent any time around, erm, weirdos, will know that the number 33 has some cosmic/divine connotations and/or associations, and there are rumored to be 33 vertebrae in the human spine.

Let’s back up tho. When you fart, where does that gas come from? I think medicine will tell us that there are bacteria in our gut that eat what we eat, then make their own poop and farts that in turn become our poop and farts. But don’t we breathe? Doesn’t our skin breathe? Doesn’t our blood contain gas(es)? What does our body do with things that it just flat don’t know what to do with? Is it possible that our body might try to…burn it? More than that, do our bodies potentially possess the ability to do any such thing?

Why are there all these calls and/or efforts to send everyone to prison? I see shitloads of tweets calling for the immediate arrest and imprisonment of all kinds of people, but especially public figures. Surely there has to be more options than just/only prison. Have you fucks not heard of riots? Lynchings? Mob justice? Vigilantism? Mass murder? Anarchy? Hitmen/assassins/murder for hire? Ritual killings? Surely there aren’t efforts to pollute “legitimacy” with unsound methods and actions…

are there?

That said, there sure seems to be a lot of fuckery via government(s), which means it originates via commerce.

Truth is we plebeians live under the thumb of delay, detainment and arrest…

all day, every day.

Get pulled over for any reason, and catch the wrong cop on the wrong day, and you could wind up on the business end of a taser for anything from drugs, to suspected terrorism, to pissing off some random stranger, to simply having your own bad day on the wrong fucking day. I mean, who in the FUCK is having a good day when you get pulled over, have some conflict, or are otherwise detained for some odd reason.

Like say...having long hair.

Has government forgotten customer service? Or is that “protect and serve” bullshit just a hyped up myth designed to protect a racket. If so, “the racket” is going to be…advancement, job security, and accolade. Afterall, the cream, rises. Curds are for turds, buttermilk is for babies, and plain milk is for pussies.

I have no idea what any of that means either.

Seems like it’s easier, and safer to just…stay indoors. Protect yourself…at all times…like a boxer might.
