You had an experience that maybe you didn’t fully understand. Oh sure, at the time, it made perfect sense. Over time tho, those naysayers and disbelievers, and especially those who have not had a similar experience are gonna drag you down. Some of the very people who SHOULD believe you are gonna be skeptical, and they may even be doing so for their own selfish or maybe even nefarious means because they don’t want anyone eclipsing them. You may even start to wonder to yourself if this experience ever even happened, because no one seems to believe you, and as such, you wanna experience it again. You may even wanna drag someone along with you so that you can go “SEE! SEE!!! I TOLD YOU SO!!!” I get it. I really do get it.

This morning I got to thinking about “the big fucking deal with skin color”, and it got me to thinking about both representation and symbolism. Started off by me thinking about this little “check mark” that one can obtain on Twitter. “Verified” I think it is called, many people seem to want this little check mark quite badly, but it appears to me that this Twitter Verified nonsense mainly related to influencers, celebrities, famous business folk, and government/official types. The influencers seem to be the lot that are most grasping for this verified status because I guess it will help them turn the ether into gold for them personally.

What I’ve mainly been thinking about over the course of some time Elena, is the labels that are applied to us, and how we in turn try and squeeze ourselves into the mold(s) of these labels. Almost like being bought a pair of pants that don’t fit. Or maybe a shirt or dress or some other article of clothing. We can wear them, sure, but they weren’t made specifically for us. They don’t perfectly fit us, the individual. We have to grow into them. They have to be altered, taken up, or we have to grow into them. They may even have to be let out. Or maybe we have to loose weight, gain weight, grow, shrink, squeeze into the jeans, then lay down on the bed and pull up the zipper with a coathanger because they are so tight.
But damnit…we fit. We’re told we need to fit into this model, and we commit ourselves to fitting.
Some things in life are gonna be distractions or maybe diversions by…powers. Constructs that get individuals to behave in certain modalities so that “the powers” don’t have to actively keep an eye on you. Newton’s First Law of Motion is applicable here, because you, me and others are physical things.
Newton’s first law states that, if a body is at rest or moving at a constant speed in a straight line, it will remain at rest or keep moving in a straight line at constant speed unless it is acted upon by a force.

With reference to the joke above, the message is that if you tell an Aggie to do something, they are going to do it. If the path is not so “A to B” perfect, they WILL figure out a way to comply to the request. They are passive, obedient, loyal, want to be compliant, believe in the hierarchy, and many if not most would rather die than fail. Now, when I heard that joke as a kid, I was told that the meaning was that Aggies are just too stupid to figure out that a round room has no corners in which to place their noses. But as I got older, and myself more experienced, and started to view the world a bit more differently? Yeah, I started to think…wait, maybe they aren’t dumb, they are very intelligent people with a lot of integrity working very diligently to solve a problem deemed impossible by others..Or maybe yeah, they’re a dumbass being distracted by others, all because they don’t know any better.
Back to the original thought, I think a lot about time, so I think about how some individuals (or groups) steal time from others. If the majority of people are glued to their televisions and watching a very small group of people act like morons on Capitol Hill? That’s a pretty good distraction. Averts the eyes of many watchers, and gives some breathing room for “the powers” to make moves elsewhere.
Sorry to digress here, but it just occurred to me that I don’t know what the big deal is with people acting like morons in the US Capitol Building. According to legend, people have been acting like morons in that building ever since it was first built. 😉

It’s a lot to think about…labels. Gets even more convoluted when one starts to think about all of the marks, brands, and branding that is going on. These masks are a mark. The vaccines are a mark. I would like to serve my progenitors well. Be a good legacy.
