Hi RooB
You know there’s much concern lately at the prices of electricity & gas?
Well here’s the practical solution from the consequences of the first vid you chose. 🤣🤣🤣

In the movie ‘In Time’, the elite steals time and the masses have a reduced life span and a small minority live virtually forever.. Time is the currency . Time is money . Inflation is one of the tactics to keep everyone chasing their tails and nose to the grindstone and on the hamster wheel. Not sure how many more metaphors I can come up with 🙂

“Qu’ils mangent de la brioche”
Payin’ with pain. In French bread is pain. You showed the Marie Antoinette guillotine gif a few days ago.
“Let them eat cake” is the most famous quote attributed to Marie-Antoinette, the queen of France during the French Revolution. As the story goes, it was the queen’s response upon being told that her starving peasant subjects had no bread. Because cake is more expensive than bread, the anecdote has been cited as an example of Marie-Antoinette’s obliviousness to the conditions and daily lives of ordinary people. But did she ever actually utter those words? Probably not.’

‘Bread in hand’ is ‘pain à la main’, and I got notification from YT overnight for the following vid:

Probably not. And French Cake isn’t all that amazing anyway. They certainly don’t know how to make a Black Forest Gateau. Oh, how I long for one of those now and again.
But The French don’t understand Cream either. So quite possibly cake was cheaper than bread.
But bumping off their Royal Family for a slice of cake was not a very good idea. All they have these days is ghastly Presidents.
Although I do have to say that The French treat me better than England ever did. But then I am a peasant.

And pain of child birth.
Bred pain. And the Roman Empire Never Died. Caesar and Caesarian.
Apols about empty comment. Tried to post a gif from ‘In Time’. Didn’t show though. See if it accepts a pic.
