They say that because they believe women to be less than men. A woman is "reduced" to her biology if you recognize than women are female humans, but womanhood is somehow "elevated" when men claim it for themselves. It becomes "more" because they take it away from women.

I watched Terry Scott in all his “comedic” forms. I am that mature. Parents had telly on, that’s my excuse. I never once laughed, smiled, raised a titter even a grunt at any of his efforts. I was never in the company of anybody who was even slightly amused by him. I wonder what hold he had over the people who hired him? June Whitfield – she was a gem, right up until Absolutely Fabulous.

I once attended a charity dinner dance event, which June Whitfield attended. She complimented my outfit. My sister had loaned it to me, but I took the win.
