    1. I literally just finished watching a documentary (Doc) about the efforts made to screen ‘A Clockwork Orange’ in Franco’s Spain…

… Reminds me of another film and a snippet of dialogue…

“She fell in love with Generalissimo Franco.”

“Don’t say that. We don’t know that for sure.”

“Who else could it have been? It was around 1960.”

      “Do you want some popcorn?”

“I can’t believe this. It’s not like he was something normal, like a socialist or an anarchist.”

“It happened in Spain. People do stupid things in foreign countries.”

“They buy leather jackets for much more than they’re worth. But they don’t fall in love with fascist dictators.”

    1. That reminds me of The Shining source, the book by Stephen (meaning ‘Crown’) King…

‘The wasps’ nest, in this case, symbolizes danger and Danny’s misplaced trust in Jack, and it proves instead to be an omen for a devastating future. Danny isn’t the only character who has an experience with a wasps’ nest.’

‘While checking the boiler in the basement of the Overlook Hotel, Jack finds an old scrapbook, which serves within The Shining as a symbol of the hotel’s rich and sordid history; however, the scrapbook also symbolizes the strange power the hotel has over Jack to influence his actions and drive him insane.’

      1. The reason why I included the term ‘The Wasp’s Nest’ was when I was young – 6 or 7 – in my memory I discovered a wasps nest. What I’m learning is there are levels and layers to memory. There is a surface level which is there to protect deeper memories and emotions which are difficult to face. Maybe not a bad thing at times as not sure if it would be possible to get through day to day life. At the moment having to confront them though.

  2. Triggered.

Jake Kotze has put up an interesting video regarding B and BB. A BB he didn’t include – and no reason why he should – was Bergen Belsen. Down Memory Lane. Part of the reason why I’ve been Star Gazing recently and trying to understand the ununderstandable horror of man’s inhumanity to man.

A place where to coin a song lyric :

‘And the three men I admire most
The Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
    The day the music died’.

At a deep level of consciousness this is the mentality that runs the show if you like.
