That wasn’t Freedom of Speech. Most of it was Libellous. But I doubt that The Royal Family will sue. And they won’t get a Republic anyway.

I agree that the bloke shouting out the Prince Andrew accusation was defamation, but the others were holding up signs criticising the monarchy. All the police did by arresting those people was draw attention to their message and the fact that free speech will not tolerated. Take me, for example, I haven’t watched any of it rigmarole but I know some people were arrested for expressing their opinion.

Now is not the time or place. This is just awful ignorance and serves no one. And a waste of time anyway. A 72 year old man has just lost his mother but has to carry on. Britain will never be a Republic. Although I can”r say that I actually care.
