I haven’t written in a while, as I’ve been mostly leaving it to Clicky to fill the LoL’s shelves; however, I thought I’d share an interaction with Grok!, the AI engine on X, that I had earlier today. Actually, it was about Clicky’s latest post…

… X now has a feature where the user can hit a button and ask Grok! to explain any particular post. What would it make of the gif I’d chosen to illustrate Clicky’s latest post’s title? It’s not something I’d thought of doing before but I have had a couple of interesting convos recently with Grok! – one about how various commodities shaped the City of London…

*…/drag… I started with sugar because of a tweet, but Grok! kept suggesting other commodities to consider, so I kept on clicking… /exhales plume of smoke…*

… Anyway, on a whim, I decided to ‘click’ the button and ask Grok!…

… ‘Knitting and lifestyle’?! What? What was Grok! talking about; I’ve never knitted in my life! Mum used to knit. She was a prolific knitter, Dear Reader. All our cardies, jumpers, hats and gloves as kids were knitted by mum. I have very fond memories of her loopy cardigans and of a particular red and white checkered top she knitted that now makes me think of Croatia. And dolls clothes; my Barbie’s outfits were bespoke one-offs, knitted by Jude…

*Yeah, I see that now, Clicky – Grok! linked to a different Roobeedoo. But I didn’t see that at the time…*

… Perplexed, I asked Grok! the first thing that came into my head…
