Bollox. Do they advertise the New Improved versions as being improved?
It is more likely to increase the value of the original issues.
If I wanted to give copies to grandchildren I would be looking for un-Bowdlerised copies.

I think it’s both. It’s also an example of how publishing affects culture – Wokery in our present time, but that’s not actually covered in the talk by Wes Cecil. He does lament the disappearance of authors debating their ideas on TV which is why I sought an example out – the Norman Mailer/Marshall McLuhan debate really does speak to today. And the Information Technology Crowd’s Richmond and his discovery of Cradle of Filth is a sync 😉
