Watch The Eyham Video about The Great Plague. There is some love and sacrifice in there. And some great selfishness.

That’s the one. And thanks for that. I will watch it again shortly, since I am no longer so afraid.
But you can’t avoid the common sense therein.
It is always the anxiety that is most likely to get you in ordinary daily life, if you are as old as I am.

This article below may not seem to go along with the “lockdown” thingie and its tiers, but I kinda think it does…
From the article…
“People can become confused and clumsy, and find it hard to get out of the water.”
Makes me think of “knowing”. Or “being in a state of knowing”. Especially when compared to “NOT being in a state of knowing. In this case, I’m thinking about waking from sleep on your average run-of-the-mill day vs “waking” under duress. Maybe even “waking” from some traumatic event. Thinking here about the process of “getting our bearings”. Transitioning from one state to another state. “Finding our feet”, so to speak.

State…to state…through state.
or…
From a state…to a state…through a state.

Kinda resonates a bit with the “what is health?” question.
Cept in this case, it’s rather confusing because we are attempting to get to…where we already are?
Or maybe…where we were?
We left where we were…found ourselves where we are…and we want to leave where we are and get back to where we were.
Irrespective of the hows and whys, lots of leaving.

We are not now, what we were then. Not just and only anyway. We’ve accumulated. Grown. Changed. Yes, we are still “that which we were”, but also, not.
My head is burning with that thing Wes Cecil mentioned about the rich man walking to the market, and his slave is traveling with him and carrying a huge tray of money. Unfortunately, the slave is having great difficulty carrying the tray of money because there is so much money on the tray, so the rich man tells the slave “just get rid of some of the money so that the tray isn’t so difficult to carry.”
In this case tho, seems to me that we’d want to align ourselves rather than dump. Adjust “what we are” to line up better with “what we were”. Mainly because I’m not sure as to the practicalities of “dumping shit” as it relates to the psyche. Damn difficult to know where one is if you have no clue where you were on account of everything previously providing you bearings and relativistic navigational information is…gone. We are, after all, trying to preserve the individual, not create a new one.
(Dementia, Alzheimer’s,
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 12:15-26 gives some interesting insight into the above thought.

Daniel 2:31-45 does as well.

Very transitional stuff. Cumulative, and transitional.
